I have purchased three of these and highly recommended them to friends and family after taking on several trips where they were stuffed into overhead suitcases as well as checked bags. I have caught numerous small – medium sized freshwater and saltwater fish in multiple states with no issues at all.

I’ve bought one of these years before and I have to say they have upped their game. You get a lot for the price, a nice rod, braided line, some tackle, and a nice case. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I got way more than I expected from what I had bought years ago. Everything feels sturdy and of quality materials. Very nice set and I recommend getting this if you are on the fence about it.

I got this for my husband’s birthday gift and he is OBSESSED! Very smooth and light weight. Easy to travel with!

This reel changed the game for me, as an avid fisher having this reel allows me to hop out around any body of water and casually fish. It’s simple to breakdown and pretty light weight. I believe the reel is good for catching smaller to medium fish, but a whopper might give you some trouble based on the overall feel or strength of the reel. For casual fishing though, this reel is nice and VERY convenient.

I like the telescoping rod. East to store in car or put in a suitcase, and easy to extend. I’ve caught lots of fish in it. Bluegills and catfish. One of the eyes got loose. Easy to fix. A medium weight feel. Nicely shipped. Beautiful case. I like it.

Bought two of these poles for my grandchildren for Christmas. The whole idea was that they were transportable and came with a very nice carrying case. We could use them whenever and wherever. Well they came to visit us at shore this past summer and they brought their poles and we put them together. I was very pleased with the assembly process and the quality of the reel. Well it turned out to be a very windy week and we never were able to go fishing over by the bay. Well now the problem…..we cannot take the poles apart no matter how hard we try and other family members have even tried. We tried so hard that we broke one of the eyes and still no luck. Both rods were impossible to break down. We tried every idea on the internet including Sougayilangs suggestion which was also on the internet. I suppose other people have had the same problem with their poles. Nothing but nothing will break these poles down. The worst part of this whole deal is the company that supposed to have such great customer service has never ever returned one of my emails and there have been several and a phone number is impossible to find. I might add that these poles have never even touched water they are new never used. If you are thinking about purchasing fishing poles I would think twice about buying Sougayilang. There is no customer service regardless of what they say. I am one very very disappointed customer.

It’s a beautiful product, feels good in the hands while fishing – and I know this is luck but on the second cast with it I caught a nice sized bass!
However, I will say to beware – the drag cap for the reel doesn’t come fastened on well or maybe mine was faulty. On the first cast the cap flew into the water never to be seen again. Ended up having to fasten the spool with a zip tie.
Currently looking to buy a replacement cap, but can’t seem to find anywhere that sells them.

Reel was jammed, the supplier sent a new one. I caught big fish with that item.
